Here’s your chance to tell everyone about everything and anything to do with backcountry skiing. Follow the simple steps to register and WHAMMY, you’re in. If you are pulling your hair out with frustration, have a look at the help forums for answers or take a pause and drop us an email at: info@backcountryskiingcanada.com. We’ll do our best to help out as soon as we can (but all bets are off on a powder day, obviously).
Just a heads up that Mammut has a new blog up on safety. And I quote: "the forum was created to support users in getting the most out of their equipment and for the Mammut Avalanche Safety Team and Partners to share information, questions, news, pictures, stories and anything else we find interesting with other skiers, riders, mountaineers and snow safety professionals around the world."
Doug Workman is the man behind the initiative and Doug seems like an experienced and competent guy in the world of avalanche forecasting (and skiing). We'll be watching this blog over the season to see how it does and whether it will focus on products more than safety. It'll also be interesting to see what geographical areas are covered. As with all things like this, the follow-through is what really matters. So far so good!
