Sneak Peek: Next season’s Dynafit skis - VIDEO
Dynafit is a brand for Mountain Endurance Athletes which is all about Speed, Technology, Endurance and Lightweight. They provide the skis, boots, bindings and clothing you need to get out into the mountains, they have you covered from head to toe.
For 2020/21 their ski line is entirely brand new and falls into four categories, Race - for those rando racers out there, Speed - which is all about lightweight skis, Tour - for chasing powder and Free - for those freeriders who ski it all.
The new Dynafit Beast Skis are for skiing on resort and side-country missions, they come in a 98 for the women and 108 for men. Their carbon construction is now lighter than before and the Snow-off top sheet ensures that they shed snow to keep them light. They have camber underfoot and early rise in the tips to keep them playful and fun in the pow.
Dynafit’s all-new Blacklight Skis fall into their speed category for those who need to go fast and light in the mountains or want to enter a random race or two. The Blacklight Pro is 80 underfoot and uses Dynafit’s race ski construction which is two layers of carbon and a paulownia wood core. They also come in a 74 and 88 underfoot version with the same core but only one layer of carbon. All of the Blacklight Skis have camber underfoot and early rise in the tips and tails. These are an impressive ski given how light they are and how well they ski. I got to ski on the Blacklight Pro at Eldora Mountain Resort a few weeks ago while attending Meteorite PR’s Adventure Camp event in Boulder Colorado prior to the Winter Outdoor Retailer Show and I can honestly say these skis blew me away!
