New SkiLogik Yeti and Piton AT skis - VIDEO
SkiLogik unquestionably makes the best looking skis on the market and this year at the SIA show we got to speak with the owner David Mazzarella about the new 2013/2014 Skis.
The SKiLogik Piton and the SkiLogik Yeti skis are alpine touring specific skis from SkiLogik and made to carve up the backcountry pow. As I type this I am at Ice Creek Lodge and getting ready to head out on my 4th day of skiing on the Yeti Skis. We have had a day of crud and crust skiing but two days ago it turned to 30cm of light fluffy powder skiing and the SkiLogik Yetis have held their own in every condition. These skis are incredibly light for the up and heaps of fun on the down in deep powder. They have a Black Magic base (which is super hard), Black Locus sidewalls and Carbon fibre construction in the tip and tail. A machined aluminum tail bumper makes afixing your skins easier and there are no worries about the tail clip falling off mid climb. At 104 in the waist with a 19m radius the SkiLogik Yeti skis are fat enough for powder days but should be nimble enough for resort days.
The SkiLogik Piton skis are basically the same ski only with a 94mm waist which makes them even lighter than the SKiLogik Yeti skis.
