Sneak peek at next year's gear: La Sportiva Vapor Float Skis - Video
La Sportiva has always been known as a major player in the light weight ski touring market, just look at their crazy-light Euro randonee boots and skis that they've produced over the years. For the recreationalist however La Sportiva has also had some solid winners with the La Sportvia Spectre 4-buckle boots (the lightest on the market and out Gear of the Year winner) and the La Sportiva Vapor Nano Skis, introduced last season.
New for this season is the La Sportiva Vapor Float Skis and as the name suggests this is a fatter version of the Vapor Nano's. At 117mm underfoot this is one fat ski, but not to worry, in traditional La Sportiva style it's über light at only 1500grams per ski. Thanks to the same carbon nano-tube construction used in the La Sportiva Vapor Nano skis these fatty's are super light.
All this awesomeness comes at a price however, $1200 US!
