Off-season funtime—Kaslo Jazz Fest

'not sure what you get up to when there's no snow and the summer heat is cranked. In our little neck of the woods, in BC's interior, one way to have fun before the snow flies is attend a festival or two. Next up on the calendar is the the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Festival, on August 3-5, in beautiful downtown Kaslo, BC. The "etc" is in there because there's way more than jazz on tap.

Many local performers join heavy hitters like Shakey Graves, Cave Singers, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Jill Barber and Shovels and Rope. And of course, there's yoga and poi spinning too. For the younger at heart (and those with more stamina) The Shambhala Music Festival happens the weekend after, August 10-13 at the Salmo River Ranch.
