Riding the Rails.
Here's a sample of ingenuity if I have ever seen one. If you've ridden on a railbed, you know how perfect the grade is. Add a super low-friction, home-built vehicle that runs on existing (but not used) railway tracks, and you have yourself an incredible adventure mobile.
