Video: NW Face of Mt. Sir Douglas Skied

In the Canadian Rockies, the peaks that tower over 11000 feet are held in special regard by a certain subset of the climbing population. An even smaller group goes in search of ski descents of these peaks- often a difficult feat. These are not the 14ers of Colorado; many have only technical alpine routes to their summits. 

One such peak is Kananaskis Country's Mt. Sir Douglas, which recently saw what may be its first ski tracks. Read more about the adventure here, and here too. Plus, check out the video below:
