Status of Canada's Search & Rescue

A new documentary called "To the rescue" is going to be broadcast on CBC in the new year and it may be of interest to those who get out in the backcountry for adventure. It looks at the current state of search and rescue operations in Canada. Local SAR (Search And Rescue) staff is committed, highly skilled – but stretched by geography and financially and in many cases held together by volunteers who risk their lives to save others.
