Snow Pack
Anybody had a chance to dig a pit in the whitewater area in the last week? Just wanting to know how the snow pack is shaping up or settling in?Looks like the cold snap is coming to an end and some more of the good stuff is on the way:
There should be little change in the current snowpack over the forecast period. The faceting that is currently dominating should continue to erode the upper 30-40cm. There are reports that the wind events of the last week have left behind some hard windslabs in the alpine windloaded features. There may be enough loose surface snow in places to create some sloughing in the alpine and treeline areas.
