TRAIL REPORT: CHEAKAMUS LAKE, WHISTLER MAY 22 2013
Just did another great early season hike at Cheakamus Lake, Whistler. This is a favorite of mine for spring and fall - really easy trail and very beautiful. This is a great one for hiking or biking. There is no snow anywhere to Singing Creek (7km from the parking lot) but some fallen trees which are a pain if you have your bike. Otherwise just as good as ever. The road is a little rough if you have a tiny car.. higher clearance (2WD) is better.
I went on a rainy day but the trees are so huge you don't really get too wet.
This is the beautiful Cheakamus river..
