Shokz OpenRun Pro 2 headphones
With several different models available you will be able to find a model for the backcountry music enthusiast on your list.
The Shokz open-ear design strikes the right balance between providing high quality sound but keeps you connected to what is going on around you. No more worrying about earbuds bouncing out while you are on your daily run.
The OpenRun Pro 2 headphones also fit quite well underneath your ski helment. We tested the OpenRun Pro 2 on several popular brands and found that the Shokz fit really well with them all, but found you didn’t even notice them with the Gira Rodeo helmet.
One of the significant advance Shokz has made with Pro 2 headphones is their DualPitch TM technology that assigns low frequencies to an air conductive driver to help minimize the vibrations via the bone conductive drivers. What we found is that really cut down on the vibration of the headphones.
We have been a big fan of Shokz headphones since we first reviewed the Aftershokz Trekz Air back in 2018. We will have a more detailed review of if the upgrade to Pro 2 is worth it, but spoiler alert, we did not want you to miss putting them on the Holiday Gift Guide.
