Slackline Industries is one of the big players in the slackline game. They provide high-quality products that are specific to the needs/desires of all slackline styles and users. With the goal of creating simple, quality, and functional equipment that’s constantly improved to meet the needs of the sport. Slackline industries is happy to “put their values on the line”.
Both the Base Line and Aggro Line Slacklines come in their own carry case for convenience and easy travelling.
The Base Line kit is ideal for the beginner as well as the intermediate user. The kit includes a static-style slackline, ratchet tensioner, tree protection, and a carry bag for all the goodies. This two piece slackline makes for easy and bomber set up between anchor points.
The static-style slackline features a custom weaved webbing which is flexible enough to walk or jump on, but stable enough to accommodate learning for beginners.
The ratchets are designed to be easy to use by anyone but there is a slight learning curve the first few times you use them. Eight feet of webbing and a reinforced loop are attached to the ratchet making up one side of the anchor system. The plastic handle grip makes for comfortable, efficient tensioning. When it’s time to take the line down, the tension release has been rubberized to facilitate easy and safe ratchet release.
The Aggro Line is for those who want to take their slacklining to the next level. Designed for more dynamic movement, the Aggro Line is great for water lines, tricks, or challenging walks. This line allows for progressing to long lines and more advanced tricks.
The main difference between the Agrro Line and the Base Line is the webbing. The Aggro Line is designed specifically for extra bounce and dynamic tricks and features a custom trampoline-style weave. The Aggro slackline also has an upgradable ratchet called the Alpha Ratchet. Upgrades include an extended handle and slow release, though these are sold separately.
Slackline Industries has put together a great line up of slacklines for their users. As someone who has not done much slacklining, coming into this I was thinking “how much different can a slackline be?”. Every slackline I’ve ever used has been the same basic principle, a piece of webbing that is suspended between anchors and tightened with a ratchet. The fine folks at Slackline Industries have taken the basics and expanded on them to offer unique tweaks to those basic principles. The resulting products are made specifically for a target skill level or activity.
While Slackline Industries offers a wide range of products, we only tested the Base Line kit and the Aggro Line kit. One thing I really like about these is that they come as a full kit in a carrying case which makes things mighty simple. Included in the kit is everything you’ll need!
I really appreciate that the tree protectors are included. A few years back, a friend and I went to the park for an afternoon of slacklining. Not knowing any better, we did not use a tree protector, but at the end of our session, we discovered why we should have. Below is a picture of the scar left on the tree years later, thankfully the tree is still alive and kicking. Tree protectors work wonders!!
