Early Season Avalanche Training
Make the most out of winter. Get your touring gear ready for early season by joining a weekend AST 1 avalanche course on Nov.27&28, 2010 based out of Nelson, B.C.
Learn how to recognize & manage avalanche terrain, read & analyze snow pack information, choose appropriate up tracks, avoid avalanches and enjoy safer turns.
This introductory course includes 6 hrs of classroom with 10 hrs in the field over 2 full days and follows the Canadian Avalanche Association program, goals and objectives. For reduced rate and time, combine AST 1 & 2.
