Just Recon, or did you ski it?
Looks like no one else on the Island actually backcountry skis? Especially this time of year.
A bit of both - we'd never been up there before and it was a suuuper warm day (the alpine was cracking and sliding all over the place in the sun) so we stuck to the old growth glades, found some really cool stuff in there.. and scoped out some bigger alpine lines for when it's more stable
The first pic is Pogo mountain, and the second is a shoulder of Adder - which has a lot more terrain on both sides (goes up to the left)
There are definitly a lot more people than you would expect touring on the island, both winter and spring.. but you often get the mountains to yourself :)
