FS: Voilé Splitboard 173cm
SOLD:
Early 2000s Voilé Split Decision 73 Splitboard
173 cm with orange and yellow flame graphics
I bought this directly from Voilé in Utah for a trip to Valdez, Alaska in the early 2000s, and it’s just been sitting in the closet since. I used the board for several days of training before the trip, so it has seen about ten less-than-full days of use total. The topsheet has some of the normal nicks/scrapes that are unavoidable from use in touring mode, and the base is perfect except for a teensy cosmetic manufacturing blemish near the tip that is unnoticeable under wax (that’s how it came from the factory).
I was impressed with the board’s performance when I rode it, and once I got the hang of making the touring/boarding conversion, the process was pretty painless and fast. I wear a size 12 boot and had no problems with overhang/drag. The board has good snap and speed, making the runs down the mountains all too quickly; the board’s length carved great turns, and I always beat my tele-head friends to the bottom.
All the factory hardware and accessories are included: skins with bag, plates, binding plate nuts, alignment template, crampons, instructions, extra pin, and Voilé plastic scraper.
I’ll put fresh wax on the board.
Photos on request; only serious inquiries, please.
I live in the Seattle area and will be in Whistler over the Christmas holidays, so I can bring it up if you live North.
The package retails for about $1000 plus tax; I’m looking for $700.
