Review of Backpacker's Pantry in the Alpine
Last week I got to sample some great tastes from Backpacker's Pantry. Having not been a huge fan of freeze-dried food, Backpacker's Pantry was a pleasant surprise. I also got to see how they cooked up at 2000m as I was camped in the subalpine. I have to say they did great in every aspect and tasted great. One bonus was that I got to try out their new Backpacker's Pantry spoon. More than just a humble spoon, the long handle and soft edges made it perfect to stir the bag and prevent the dreaded sticky fingers when mining for the last of the goods deep down in the pouch. Overall, on this style of trip, I would highly recommend Backpacker's Pantry to anyone looking for light and easy-to-make alpine meals.
