Snow Shed Topsheet Wax—First Impressions
Peter, from Snow Shed, sent us a couple bottles of his product and we've had a chance to check it out. It's simple to apply and, when the snow is sticky, it makes a big difference on the amount of snow that sticks to your topsheets. If you are like me, snow stickage of this type is a pet peeve and I am constantly whacking the side of my ski when touring. In our experience, it needs to be reapplied a couple times a season—if you ski in a coastal snowpack, this is well worth your while. For those of us who ski dryer snow, Snow Shed shines late-season when the snow glops up. Speaking of glop, Snow Shed apparently works as a skin wax as well. I am going on a mini hut trip in a couple weeks and the Snow Shed is coming with.
Here's Peter walking us through the easy application process: Here are a couple shot of us trying it out (and yes, we followed Peter's instructions). They are in sequence.
