Tech bindings 101 - VIDEO
Tech bindings continue to increase in popularity for several reasons, mainly because they're so much lighter than frame bindings. While you do need alpine touring boots with tech fitting in order to use these bindings, once you ski tour with them you'll be convinced that this is the way to go. Your stride while climbing will be more natural and feel more free than with a frame binding and the ski down will be just as secure.
