G3 2011/2012 Highball at Retallack

I was thinkiing I might get a couple comments (or at least some weird looks) when I was running next year's G3 Highballs  for a day's cat skiing up at Retallack Lodge. I mean, wouldn't you comment if you saw a ski with a topsheet like this?

Don't they look all "top secrety" and cool? Aaaaanyway, back to the ski. This is G3's new, fully rockered fatboy. You can read all about them, and other G3 gear, here. I was only on them for a day--and they may have been a little short for me at 180cms--but they felt super. The big platform underfoot and rockered front and back makes for a very playful ski. Fun! We were skiing steep pitches and they did well. They did really well in the moderately steep, open-bowl pow, too. Full porpoise action. Thanks very much to G3 for the loan. Can't wait to try them again next season!
