Hi there. I am about to purchase 2015 Volkl Nunataqs, but I am not sure which size to go. Can you comment on a size. I am 182cm in height and not sure whether to go for 178cm or 186cm Nunataqs?

I am 185 and skied on the 179 and wished they were a 182 so it may be a stretch to go for the 186. I liked the responiveness of the 179 and found them plenty stable but that extra 3 cm would have made them even better, for me a 185 is about as big as I like to go.

Thanks a lot, it helps yes. I will go for the 178cm then, looks far better decidion then going for 186. I wish they had 182 as well, but we are out of luck here.

Did you skin these skis? I am wondering how the skinning performance is while going upwards. Do they have good edge grip and hold well on steeper slopes and harder icy snow conditions?

The Nunataq has been my ski of choice for three years even though I get many skis in each year to test. The Nunataq skis perform incredibly well on hill and for backcountry use. I have put in many backcountry skiing days on the Nunataq and even multi day traverses and they have never dissapointed however the skinning performace is due mainy to the skins themselves.
