BICYCLE HELMET MEETS AIRBAG TECHNOLOGY

As e-bike popularity continues to rise amongst commuters, urban cyclists are travelling at faster speeds than ever before. According to latest tests, 20% of all bicycle head injuries occur in collisions with cars, and with increased speeds comes the need for increased protection. 

POC and Autoliv have joined forces in hopes of designing a helmet that will reduce severe head injuries resulting from high speed cycling accidents. Their prototype helmet integrates airbag technology with innovative design, and will significantly contribute to enhanced safety performance — especially in linear impacts.
