The annual Canadian Avalanche Association (CAA) spring conference
Well, it's that time of the year again when we in the snow world trade our ski boots for a pair of flip-flops and enjoy the sun. It is also a time for us in the professional world of snow to connect and see what happened over the season. We share some best practices, lessons learned and overall great stories about the past season. This is all done at the Canadian Avalanche Association's spring conference held each year in Penticton BC. What many non-professionals didn't know is that for $160 the general public can attend the informational part of the conference. This is a great place to watch presentations from some of the leading minds in the snow safety field. Whether you're interested in getting into the industry or just a recreationist who wants to know more about snow this conference is a great place to get the latest "how to". Oh did I mention if you didn't want to attend in person there is a virtual option as well.
