Rutschblock Roof Flossing

I’m kidding. Your rutschblock cord is a great tool you can use to cut through snow in preparation for your snowpack tests... although these two guys have taken the concept and applied it on a much bigger scale. 

‘Roof-alanches’ can be a sudden and dangerous overhead hazard,   and have buried people in the past. And, although the method shown in this video is quick and efficient, it can dump a huge load on you in a matter if seconds if you're not careful.
