Current Kicking Horse BackCountry Conditions

This weeks storm in the Golden area has brought much joy to all.  But there's lots to be cautious of if venturing into the whiteroom.  For all things to watch out for, take a look at the recap brought to us by our friends at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and SkiingGolden.com  Note the warm temps and wind potential for the weekend, particularly the new storm load on top of touchy SH layers from February 3rd and mid January.  This is not the weekend to hit big terrain but there will be plenty to play with on the more conservative slopes.  

Please remember to plan your day with caution and do tell others where you are headed.  Multiple skiers have been lost in the Kicking Horse backcountry and the last thing we need is to add more.  Avalanche Canada is a very helpful resource as well for locals sharing their knowledge.  Stay safe everyone!
