Passing of Hilaree Nelson
On Wednesday of this week, the mountain and ski community was hit hard with the news of the passing of ski mountaineer Hilaree Nelson. Nelson, a 49 year old American, was descending from the summit of Manaslu in Nepal when she was hit by an avalanche and sweep off the mountain. Nelson was a mother of two with her partner Jim Morrison also an experienced ski mountaineer. Her loss will be felt deep in the mountain community.
