Backcountry Hut Option Advice - BC

Aloha all! 

Just hoping for any advice, insight, tips that those here with more experience than I can provide. 

I did my first guided backcountry hut experience last March at Icefall Lodge. Loved it. Hooked. This year I have two options. Boulder Hut near Kimberly in the Purcells and Mallard Lodge near Valemount. Two very different locations, and I have no knowledge other than what I can find on the internet about either. 

Mallard is new and much further north so thinking might be a better bet in March. I'm a splitboarder who likes challenging terrain but doesn't have much experience in the backcountry. Part of the draw is the learning experience for me. The lodge is mostly secondary to the skiing, but it never hurts to be comfortable too. Both are about the same price (Mallard being more expensive and a little tougher to get to but doable for me). 

Hoping some with ANY knowledge on the areas or the lodges can chime in with some advice to help make my decision easier.
