Ode to the Steeps

Jacob Wester is a Swedish Freeskier who has appeared at the X Games and various slope style and big air competitions. When he first started skiing the backcountry his only aim was to find deep snow and if it meant getting there by helicopter or snowmobile all the better. Lately though he has been pushing into ski mountaineering lines.

This short film documents some of the lines he skied in the past year coupled with thoughtful narration as to what motivates Jacob to expose himself to the dangers of such high end skiing. Have a watch below.
