Tantalus
Having spent most of my ski life in the Rockies and the Interior I have always dismissed the Coast Range as being a busy place with wet and sloppy coastal snow. With my mind made up I never really gave the coast of much thought over the years, why would I want to go ski cementimeters of elephant snot with all of the lower mainland fighting for the same patch of snow? I live in Revelstoke and it doesn't get much better. Right? While getting over my preconceived idea of the coast I have learnt that the area is massive, the access easy although sometimes long, they get heaps of snow and above all good stability. Having recently come back from a traverse on the coast that place is all I think about. So many expansive glaciers, intriguing lines and just the vastness of the whole area are awe-inspiring. While on the Spearhead last week the Tantalus was across the way and I couldn't help but look over to it every chance I got. In doing a little research on the area I stumbled across a short that confirmed my suspicions. I need to go there and after watching this, I might see you there too.
