The Wild Connection. Important New Website Launch
This new conservation site focuses on Piq kiʔláwnaʔ (pronounced “pik-ki-lau-na”) which is situated in the Central Selkirk Mountains in southeastern British Columbia. This is a corridor that runs perpendicular to Highway 31A between New Denver and Kaslo here in BC's Interior – a key connection joining Goat Range Provincial Park in the north to Kokanee Glacier Provincial Park to the South.Though the creators of this group don't claim that it has been created solely to ward off development like the proposed Zincton project, it sure seems like it shares some anti-development sentiment.
We welcome hearing from both sides of this argument and are happy to see groups like The Wild Connection mobilize and share ideas and perspectives. Bravo.
