Sentinel Hub *almost * Live Satellite Imagery
If you live in the interior then you know that this year's snowmelt feels like it is taking an unreasonable time to melt. While the snow levels are perfectly normal for this time of year, all this extra free time is like trying to watch a pot boil. Many areas in the Interior are slowly melting out but there's still the unknown of unpassable snow to get to your favourite trail or lake. What are the current conditions of glaciers and alpine routes? Google earth is incredible but others limited information on conditions. If only there was a way to get almost live satellite imagery to help with some of the guesswork.Sentinel Hub provides almost daily satellite imagery all over the globe. This is an incredible tool for those looking for early or late season snow levels. Another Great resource as always is ARFI and it's auto plots. They are an automated snow profile and will give the snow depth of a particular study site however a picture speaks a thousand words. Be sure to bookmark this resource and take some of the guesswork out of exploring.
