Border Line
A little accountability goes a long way. I often think of this when I hear about an athlete or even just a regular joe embarking on some grand adventure as a means of fundraising for a cause. My mind always follows the same process. First thinking, hey, that's a cool idea (when applicable) the second, Joe wanted to do that trip regardless of any world crisis but the third is the reminder of external accountability. Self-accountability is paramount but a little external pressure can get us passed times of personal doubt. Like, say, donations from friends and strangers and the funding of a cause that you believe in, for example. A little extra push can be useful and if having that push at the back of your mind wasn't required then you managed to raise funds for your cause. Great, that's a big win on its own. Sometimes people simply feel compelled to do something for a cause and by using their professional skills to do it. Some people are accountants others are mountain guidesTristan Knoertzer is a mountain guide and adventurer who planned a 25 days trip, 300km loop between France, Switzerland and Italy without any motorized assistance. A loop never done before. The purpose of this challenge was to raise funds for an organization called Cameleon, which protects young victims of sexual abuse in the Philippines.
