July Pond Skimming - VIDEO

On July first, the Backcountry YYC Facebook group out of Calgary organised a meetup, where they celebrated Canada day in a way that we feel would be pretty tough to top. 

What did they do? After driving out and hiking en masse into Kananaskis Country, they went right ahead and began hurling themselves into what appears to be an absolutely frigid lake.

Awesome.

Luckily for those of us who weren't there, John Elder brought his camera along to document the festivities. While the video is nothing short of fantastic, we do recommend that those at work or with any kind of sensitivity to 90's style punk rock start with the volume low and increase with caution.
