Mt Sir Sanford
Mt. Sir Sanford.
I met Trevor via internet forum several years ago, just another kid moved out west from Ontario. He was skiing out of golden and just starting to ski some of the bigger inbound lines at Kicking Horse with confidence. Fast forward a few years and a lot of self propelled vertical. He is becoming one of Canada's top ski mountaineers in a hurry. Although he would never claim it Trevor has ( probably ) a few first descents and many seldom skied big lines under his belt. All of Trevor's endeavors seem to require a soul crushing slog to get to which is honestly why I think he does most of these solo.
His latest attempt is Mt Sir Sanford. Another real slog of an approach and a summit over 11 000ft , it has Trevor written all over it. He does a much better job telling the story on his blog then I could "http://perpetualski.ca/2016/02.....-big-slog/ " and updates it regularly. Not too many posts about skiing trees or mellow pow laps but there's trip reports there for days! So check him out.
