Night Tour
It has been a long day at the office. When I get home from work I can hardly fathom the idea of exercising and if I immediately hit the couch that is where I will stay, or likely wake up the next morning. If, however, I grab my skis, skins, poles and dog and I head for the closest snow pack I am able to keep my energy and stoke level high. Touring is a full body workout and although I am not heading for peaks and chutes, I am preparing my body for those days of breaking trail in knee deep powder. I rarely need a headlamp as the snow's ambient light is reflected from the ground, and the city lights provide quite a view.
