      Hi guys,


      I've got my sight on Canada this winter for my skiing fix. I'm traveling with a friend and we're both moderately experienced ski tourers. I'd like to know where it would be best to base ourselves for some overnight tours with a stay in a hut and easy access for the occasional lift. We've got two weeks and want to do some epic tours plus have the odd easy day where we may use a lift for some off piste.


      Any advice would be appreciated. I have some local knowledge having driven the ice fields and stayed in Banff / Canmore but I didn't ski!

      I think some of this advice might be dependent on when your trip is planned for but Revelstoke and area is pretty great for a two-week trip. We have Rogers pass to the East , Revelstoke Mountain Resort which has great slack and some underrated ski touring right in our city limits! In rogers pass there are two main huts, wheeler and the asulkan ( can be hard to book ). 

      If your trip is slated for the spring than my vote goes to the Rockies.
