Summer Skiing in Kootenay National Park
Well into the second half of August and with still no precipitation to speak of, It became obvious that keeping my ski streak going was going to require another corn ski. Not that there's anything wrong with that - it's just that the latter half of August brings with it an outside hope of some sneaky pow.Anyway, on August 22 I set out solo, leaving Golden at around 3 AM. After a little thrashing and bushwhacking, I found out that obscure Hewitt Peak in Kootenay National Park holds one of the better true summer descents I've yet found.

I can't be the only one. We'd love to hear about our readers' summer ski adventures. Feel free to sound off below.
