The fat lady hasnt sung yet - 4 ski resorts remain open
The final four are Whistler BC, Timberline OR, Mammoth CA and Boreal CA. Both Whistler and Timberline got dumped on this week with 10” and 9” respectively.
June is not typically known for its powder skiing but the occasional freak storm does roll through and that’s exactly what happened to the coast mountains in both the US and Canada. The skiing was said to be pretty incredible and when you toss in the fact that it’s mid June, well, you just can’t complain about much.
These resorts won’t last much longer with another high pressure system due to roll in this coming week accompanied by hot and sunny 30°C days, so get out there while the gettin’ is good.
