Wear your helmet. It's something we have heard both our mothers and our conscience say numerous times. Many of us, myself included will opt to go sans helmet when ski touring. Mainly it's a convenience and weight/ pack space rational that keeps the helmet at home. Well, just as a reminder that life-changing injuries or death are probably more inconvenient than added a step to your transitions from uphill to down. 

Micheal Hall had a season-ending injury in the spring of 2018. A rock caught his ski and tossed him headfirst into another rock lurking just below the surface. Mike had broken his back and his helmet but credits his life to the fact that he chose to wear a helmet. What the award-winning short film below.
