Twisting Couloir Is No More
If the Twisting couloir on Joffre peak was on your tick list for the future well I have some bad news. A massive rock slide had erased the twisting couloir off the face of Joffre peak on the Duffy Lake road early Sunday morning on May 12th.Twisting Couloir
Twisting after the slide. She gone.
An incredible amount of snow and rock flowed approx 3.5 km down the Cerise Creek drainage the highway, vastly changing the landscape in a matter of minutes. No injuries were reported. This serves as a great reminder that our landscape is forever changing and that even our mountains are in constant motion. The real question is who bagged the final descent of the twisting couloir?
