We shared out a video profiling this guy a couple years ago. There are many amputee skiers at the resorts these days but it's a rare day that you see anyone with one leg using adaptive technologies in the backcountry. And this guy shreds. His video of a couple years back showed him in Vermont. Well, it looks like he's moved to Montana and is now tackling some of the area's outstanding backcountry.
With the opening of the Beartooth Highway comes an annual pilgrimage of ski tourers, keen to bag couloirs and peaks to which they'd otherwise have no access. We were out in the same zone (Cooke City) a couple months back and it was amazing. It's good to see people are still skiing and very impressive to see what Vasu can do with one leg. We like his sponsors, too.
