        Vancouver Island in January: Maybe Mt Cain on Jan 14, and BC on 15-16

        Hi, I'm heading to Victoria for a conference and thinking of  heading up to Mt. Cain on the evening of Sunday Jan 13. Love to find some lower-angle touring and turns, and maybe camp. Need to be back in Victoria late afternoon on the 16th. 

        This would be my first time skiing on Vancouver Island. I live in Vermont, and I'll be bringing XCD gear (Karhu Guides/Annums and Excursions). I'd love it if a local would be interested in introducing me to the big hills on the Island.
