Salmon Arm Area

Anyone in the Salmon Arm area looking for someone to backcountry ski (day trips) with on a regular basis?

Saturdays work best for me but Sundays are also an option.

I'm an expert skier and experienced in the backcountry (avi etc) but with a relatively low risk tolerance - exercise, fresh air, views and some turns are all I'm looking for - dropping into potential death trap days are behind me.

Moved here from Nelson last winter and looking to get to know areas to tour east of Salmon Arm as far as Rogers Pass.

I also tour with my dog regularly so if that's an issue it would not work out as, like me, he'll tear the house apart if I don't air him out on a regular basis - can leave him home once and a while though for park skiing.

Hey Hal,

Check out the Revelstoke subsection. I set up a thread there so we can colectively post about conditions and what we are up to. I imagine it will be a place where we can meet other skiers in the area. I will be around and if in need of a partner i will post a few days prior.
