Bow Summit area

Went up to the Bow Summit area on Sunday Jan. 17. The 30 or so of new over the weekend really freshened things up there’s some great sliding over the snow up that way. Lots of cars at most of the parking areas, must have been 10 cars parked for the Pulpit. Bow summit looked like it has seen more than its fair share of traffic.  I’m assuming the Dec. 29 surface hoar is still lurking out there but I didn’t see it. We also didn't look supper hard for it. Visibility was pretty good and we still did not see any evidence of new avalanche activity. When we left the winds were starting to pickup and transport snow at the ridge lines, you could see it pouring of cornices.  I’m guessing there is some pretty good loading going on up high.
