Icefields Parkway Conditions
November 25-27th, 2011
Spent the past few days touring mostly on the Icefields Parkway (Hwy 93 North) at the more popular destinations like Bow Summit.
The bulletin for the period was glowing red. Poking around in the snow didn't do anything to inspire much confidence. We kept things below treeline on smaller features.
Ski quality has improved drastically and burried treasures are luckily quite hard to find.
Temps on the 27th were hovering just below the zero mark making for a bit of a soggy day and the wind was definitely having its way with the snow.
Here's some fine folks checking out the snowpack.
