Brilliant Overlook

   
The Brilliant Overlook is a great hike for anyone seeking a well maintained trail and a spectacular view. You can begin the 3km endeavor at the Brilliant Substation parking lot. It is rated as difficult to advanced, getting quite steep at times, so bring good hiking shoes.

    
There are grip cables embedded in the rock for a little extra help and benches placed all along the journey for short scenic breaks. Most of the hike is through shaded forest with no where to collect water, so be sure to bring enough for the entire trip.

The hike took us about 3 hours total with 20 minutes to relax at the top. Bring your little K9 friend if you have one and get out there while the flowers are still in bloom!
