        Idaho Peak

        Idaho peak is located just above the old mining town of Sandon, about 8km past New Denver. You drive up a 2WD dirt road for 12 km until you reach the parking lot. From there, just follow the Idaho peak signs!





        The hiking trail you take is rated easy and takes about 2 hours return. Bring water, because there are no spots to fill up. The peak offers spectacular views of the Valhalla and Kokanee provincial parks.



        If you’re lucky enough, you might even get to see a paraglider take off only meters away. The mountain also offers backcountry skiing, biking and ATV trails. If you’re more interested in a relaxing adventure though, head over in late July to enjoy the amazing wild flowers.
