Backcountry Skiing Boulder Hut
This week the Backcountry Skiing Canada team is skiing at Boulder Hut which is located in the Purcell Range, just a short 15min heli ride from Kimberly BC.
With a tenure of approximately 15,000-acres, Boulder hut has high alpine bowl, chutes, trees and of course deep pow. We’ve only been here for one day and already we can see that this terrain has something for everyone.
The main lodge offers up a relaxing family atmosphere with separate sleeping quarters for guests an out building for the guides, another where the owners Mark and Sarah Yancey live (along with their two kids Grace and Alden). There’s also the required wood fired sauna a snowballs throw out the front door and epic views of surrounding terrain out every window.
We’ll be here all week so stay tuned for more updates and a full review to follow (it will be found on our lodge review page here).
