The yurts are in the backcountry south of the Whitewater Ski Area. Access is from Ymir, BC. The mountains that you see off in the distance from the top of the summit chair are the mountains that we ski around here.
Transportation is extra and is by snowcat and/or snowmobile and around $50-100.The yurts were a wood/canvas wall structure but these days our yurts are basically a circular cabin with 2x6 walls, plywood interior walls and roofing steel on the outside to make a circle 20' in diameter and two stories high. Propane oven and kerosene heater for warmth. All the pots and pans etc. We use Wildhorse Catskiing for our transportation requirements, so you can also go catskiing on your trip in if there is availability.
