It looks like Joshua Matthews Bernot, 30 has died after falling off a 16-metre cliff in Glacier National Park on Monday. More specifically he was at Rogers Pass skiing in the Asulkan Valley. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 on the summit of Youngs Peak on the second day of a two-day backcountry skiing trip.
Bernot's friend, and other nearby skiers, summoned help as quickly as possible, but despite a rapid response from Parks Canada staff and first responders, Bernot was pronounced dead at the scene, the B.C. Coroners Service said.
