In this latest Avalanche Conditions Report created with Whitewater Ski Resort, we look at what is going on in and around the area concerning recent storms and current stability.

20cm of snow fell yesterday and came in with rapidly rising temperatures which created a touchy storm slab and resulted in a widespread avalanche cycle. Avalanche Canada is calling the current hazard Considerable.

With all the new snow over the past few months, tree wells have become a real hazard so remember to ski with a buddy and give trees a wide birth.

We are in for a couple of days of high pressure, so be cautious of solar aspects as the sun and warm temps can have a dramatic effect on the snow. 5-10cm of snow is forecasted to arrive Sunday so enjoy the current sunshine but don't let it influence your decision-making—be safe out there.
